Everybody In is thrilled to start 2022 in dark mode with the sounds by St. Petersburg artist Alexey Sergeevich a.k.a. Nightdrive and his new EP ‘Inamoto’. Alexey graduated in accordion and moved into producing relatively recently in 2015. He has been particularly active in producing several dozen releases, cassettes and vinyl records for many labels worldwide.
The opener ‘Inamoto’ is a micro-house experiment that drives you into the 80's synth-pop era and goes even further, phasing patterns and melodic minimalism. Its resonant computer drums propel into the action of organic expressionism, rising into flight from its dusty origins.
‘Ray’ was born as a solo pad exercise, then evolved as a tech-house track. A beam piercing the clouds, imbuing an analog static with a synthetic expansive ambient sound.
The Ep closer ‘Arps’ is a techno banger doing much more, a transcontinental flight, a track that takes us to Manchester’s old-school rave parties on the outskirts of the capitals.
